Monkey D. Luffy (as well as Unnamed Sailor 1) played by Luke

Luffy is a pirate who ate a Devil Fruit and gained its powers at the cost of the ability to swim.

Luke is a University school student who got into tabletop roleplaying way back in Middle School.  He was the one who wanted to play a pirate despite the GM initially being against it.  He often acts before he thinks and bases most of his decisions on what he believes would be most interesting.  Despite his... playing style, he does make a bit of effort to play his alignment and his roleplaying experience and knowledge of the rules may exceed even that of the GM's.

Roronoa Zoro (as well as Coby and Unnamed Sailor 2) played by Cory

Zoro is a "super cool awesome bounty hunting killing machine."

Cory is Luke's best friend and they've been gaming together since High School.  He has a tendency to maximize his ability to kill enemies through the use of obscure third party supplements and flaws that he believes will rarely if ever come up.  He was also the one who helped Luke with his character sheet.  Due to balance issues, the GM did not allow him to play his own character right away.

Nami is a thief who steals from pirates and is searching for a map to the Grand Line.

Natalie (or Nat) is a friend of the GM.  She asked if she could join after hearing about it.  Already having prior roleplaying experience, she likes to create elaborate and lengthy backgrounds for her characters.  Her descriptions of her character's actions alone can come across as being very verbose.  She also holds an appreciation for puzzle-solving and optimizing her character's skills to ensure her plans' success.

Merry (as well as Kaya and Medaka) played by Rika

Medaka is a young warrior wears an oversized armor and wields a naginata.

Rika is Cory's cousin who used to game with Luke and Cory in High School.  She was very excited about being able to join their gaming group after enrolling into their University.  One of her most noticeable characteristics is her tendency to speak so quickly that it's hard to make out individual words and with the appearance of not having to stop for breath.
http://grandline3point5.webcomic.ws/files/grandline3point5-cast05.png Usopp played by Phil

Usopp is the blood thirstiest pirate of the seven seas.  AAARRRRRRRRR!!!

Phil is the Game Master's roommate.  He was invited to join the group before, but he "politely" declined since roleplaying wasn't really his kind of thing.  Natalie, Rika, and DM, however, were able to make him reconsider trying it out.  Due to Phil's noviceness, the GM gave him a premade character.
http://grandline3point5.webcomic.ws/files/grandline3point5-cast06a.png Kurahadol played by DM

DM used to dungeon master for Luke, Cory, and the Game Master, but found herself too busy to do so upon becoming a T.A.  After becoming more accustomed to being a T.A., she was able to set aside some time to rejoin the group as a player.  She also happens to be Rika's T.A.

Sanji (formerly Waiter #3) played by Gordon

Gordon is the Game Master.  His friend Nat was the one who invited him to his first gaming group, who did not treat him very well due to his lack of knowledge and experience in gaming.  After an initial bad experience, he left the group, but tried again with a new group after he was invited by DM to a session.  Quickly picking up the game, he eventually ended up helping DM run a few games.  Grand Line 3.5, however, is his first campaign as the primary GM.  He expressed interest in running his own game after DM became a T.A.  Although he's incredibly astute and capable of planning ahead, he's also incredibly disorganized and forgetful.  He's lost and/or misplaced his notes on more than one occasion.  He also has incredibly poor handwriting, which only Luke seems to be able to read.
